An interdisciplinary organization for professionals involved in estate planning

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE:

Dear Members and Future Members:

The Estate Planning Council of Delaware (“EPCDE”) is an interdisciplinary organization for professionals involved in estate planning.  Our Council strives to foster understanding of and collaboration among attorneys, accountants, financial advisors, trust professionals, insurance advisors, charitable leaders and any other professional involved with estate planning.

We have planned an exciting year of informative events focused on keeping you up-to-date about estate planning developments and related topics of interest.  We also will be hosting two social events—a fall and a spring social—to provide informal opportunities for networking and connection among our members.

Our affiliation with the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils (“NAEPC”) gives us access to many benefits and tools.  These benefits include utilization of NAEPC’s national speakers’ bureau, access to NAEPC’s Journal of Estate & Tax Planning, as well as involvement at NAEPC’s annual conference.  We encourage you to explore the educational programs and benefits offered by NAEPC and consider earning the Accredited Estate Planner (“AEP”) designation.

The future of EPCDE and its continued success depends on our members and future members.  If you have ideas for speakers, topics, or events, please contact me.  In addition, if you wish to become involved with EPCDE’s Board of Directors, please reach out to discuss opportunities to serve on one of our Committees.  If you are not yet a member and are interested in joining, we encourage you to apply for membership using the application on this website.

An additional way to connect with our membership and learn about upcoming events is through the EPCDE group on LinkedIn.  Please send EPCDE a request through LinkedIn or email our Executive Director, Laura Lloyd, with your request for an invitation to join the LinkedIn group.

As EPCDE enters its 77th year in 2023-2024, we look forward to seeing you at our upcoming socials and meetings.

Very truly yours,

Jennifer E. Smith, President
